Victor Harbor is a beautiful seaside holiday town only 80 km south of Adelaide, which overlooks Encounter Bay and the Southern Ocean. You can catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island from Cape Jervis which is 50 km to the east. Victor Harbor provides a diverse range of activities and facilities for tourist and holiday makers.
Victor Harbor has lots to do and see including: whale watching, penguins, fishing, beautiful beaches, steam trains, golf courses, fun parks, sailing, boating, wind surfing, kayaking, and offshore cruises and fishing charters. In the region nearby are the Murray Mouth, and towns of Goolwa and Port Elliot. Also the world famous McLaren Vale Wineries, the Deep Creek Conservation Park many other natural areas are close by. Rosetta Head, which is also called The Bluff, is another popular place to visit. This provides a unique spot for whale watching and views of the surrounding coastline.
Victor Harbor has some great diving sites, including The Bluff and Wright Island. There are a number of diving centres in town where you can hire scuba gear and get tank refills.
